Q: Can I host other types of events besides weddings at Redstone, and is the pricing different?

A: Yes! We host family reunions, business retreats, church events, conferences, photoshoots, boudoir sessions and more. Pricing varies based on the event type—contact us for a custom quote.

Q: What is the maximum guest capacity for an event or wedding?

A: The estate can accommodate up to 125 guests . Smaller packages are available for elopements or micro weddings. 

Q: Can I add additional nights to my wedding package?

A: Yes. Each package includes a set number of nights, but you can and additional nights to your stay a la carte. Simply reach out to our staff for custom pricing

Q: Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

A: Absolutely. We welcome all guests with love and respect.

Q: What is the payment schedule?

A: We require a non-refundable 25% deposit upfront to book your event with the remaining 75% balance due 60 days before the event. Once you know you wish to book, you will be sent a contract for electronic signature detailing everything for your specific event. 

Q: What is included in the wedding rental fee?

A: It includes accommodation, access to the grounds (based on your booking level), emergency on-site contact, and standard cleaning fees. Taxes and pet fees are charged separately. Excessive cleanup or pet-related cleaning may incur additional charges. Guests must remove decorations and excessive trash before checkout.

Q: Can I bring my dog?

A: Yes! We allow up to three dogs with a $100 fee per dog.

Q: Is there a security deposit required?

A: Yes, a security deposit is required 3 days before check-in and refunded within 3 days after check-out provided there are no damages or excessive cleaning needed.

Q: What indoor and outdoor spaces are available for weddings?

A: The Estate includes over 7.5 acres of stunning gardens and views. For smaller weddings, the Mansion (sleeps 6) features a large deck with a fireplace, the primary garden, a mountain-view platform, and a fire pit. The Cottage (sleeps 5) also has its own view from the deck and fire pit. 

Q: Are tables and chairs provided?

A: No, but we can provide a list of local vendors for rentals.

Q: Is there a kitchen available for catering?

A: Yes, our fully equipped kitchen includes a professional oven and large island. Let us know your catering plans or if you need local recommendations.

Q: Are there restrooms available for guests?

A: The Mansion has 3 ensuite bathrooms and a half bath. The Cottage has a full bathroom.

Q: Is the property wheelchair accessible?

A: Not currently. While the mansion is primarily one level, there are some steps from the parking lot to the terrace. The cottage has several steps and is not recommended for those in wheelchairs. 

Q: Is parking available for guests?

A: Yes, see our pricing chart for maximum vehicles allowed for each booking level. 

Q: Can I bring my own vendors (caterer, florist, photographer, etc.)?

A: Yes, you may bring your own vendors. We can also recommend trusted local professionals.

Q: Can I set off fireworks?

A: No. Due to fire risk from dry debris caused by Hurricane Helene, fireworks are not permitted at this time.

Q: Can I hire a wedding planner or coordinator?

A: Absolutely. We highly recommend it. We can also connect you with a local coordinator, though it’s not required.

Q: Are there any restrictions on decorations or setup?

A: Yes. Nails, staples, or anything that could damage the property are not allowed. Open flames are restricted to enclosed candles and the fireplace. Please review your decoration plans with us in advance.

Q: Do you provide on-site staff during the event?

A: We are available for check-in, check-out, and emergencies. We do not provide event staff but can recommend vendors. Parking assistance is available if arranged in advance.

Q: What is your policy on noise and music?

A: Unless you book the entire Estate, outside music is prohibited. If you book the Entire Estate, you may have outside music, but it must not be overly loud and must end by 10pm. Indoor music has no time restrictions. Although our property is very secluded, there are other families that live on our quiet mountain that we wish to respect. 

Q: Is smoking allowed on the property?

A: Smoking is not allowed indoors. Outdoor smoking is permitted; please dispose of cigarette butts properly.

Q: Do I need 4WD or AWD to access the property?

A: Although some guests may be able to access the property in 2WD, we strongly recommend 4WD as it preserves our road and can be a hazard if guests attempt to come up the road during inclement weather.  If some of your guests do not have 4WD, we recommend them parking at the bottom of the mountain at Browns Creek Baptist Church and carpooling up with someone that does. Please note, you or your wedding coordinator are responsible for ensuring your vendors also have 4WD. 

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Cancelations made with at least 60 days notice will only be charged the 25% non-refundable deposit. Cancelations made with less than 60 days notice will not receive a refund. Exceptions will only be made due to severe weather conditions such as hurricane events, high winds over 75 miles an hour, more than 1 foot of snow, or other extreme weather related circumstances. Heavy Rain is not considered an extreme weather event and contingency plans should be made such as tents or moving the wedding indoors. 

Q: What happens in case of inclement weather?

A: Have a backup plan for outdoor events. We can suggest alternative indoor setups or recommend local tent rental services.

Q: Who is responsible for cleanup after the event?

A: You are responsible for leaving the property in standard rental condition.

Q: Do you allow alcohol?

A: Yes, we allow beer and “unfortified” wine (less than 16% alcohol) according to North Carolina Standards. Any vendor or guest that wishes to serve liquor or other alcoholic beverages is responsible for filing permits with the county. Please note that alcohol sales are prohibited on Sundays. Please plan accordingly.

Q: Do you allow sparklers or smoke machines?

A: Yes, outdoors only. Restrictions may apply depending on fire danger. All items must be cleaned up afterward.

Q: Do you offer discounts for military and first responders?

A: Yes, we offer a 5% discount with valid ID.

Q: Who qualifies for the military/first responder discount?

A: Active military, law enforcement, and fire department personnel.

Q: Are your views often obstructed by weather?

A: Rarely. We’re above the cloud line, often giving the feeling of floating in the sky. Clear nights offer stunning starry views. Even foggy days are magical.

Q: What happens if there’s an issue during the wedding?

A: Our property managers are available to help resolve any major property-related issues during your event.
